Treehouse

The treehouse began in the summer of my freshman year in highschool, and has continued every summer since then. Although many people have built forts or clubhouses, I decided to try something a little more elaborate. The resulting structure is has a shingled roof, a sliding window, a stained deck, a painted and drywalled interior, and is completely watertight (except for the lack of doors, which I have not got around to building yet). It is a great place to hang-out, but more than importantly than that, it was extremely fun to build. I learned the basics of carpentry, how to shingle a roof, how to build and stain a deck, and how to purchase materials on a tight budget.
